Pear Tree Cottage: (sleeps 8) You enter this cottage through an arched granite doorway, into an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining area. This cottage is full of charater with huge oak beams and granite walls and a log burner . The cottage is also well equipped and comfortably furnished. The kitchen area has double doors that open onto a covered veranda. This leads to the shared garden & pool area. There is a seperate patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ.  On the 1st floor has a shower room and 4 bedrooms, 2 double rooms one with an en-suite, a twin - bedded room and 1 room with adult size bunk beds. The 4 cottages have been restored to provide modern conveniences whilst retaining all the charm of a typical French farmhouse. Leaving in lots of the original features, like granite walls and exposed oak beams. All of them have washing machines, CTV & DVD player, Hi.fi and all the comforts of home. Pear & Apple Tree Cottages also have a dishwasher. La Basse Rouerie is a perfect place for all the family to unwind, either by the pool or under a tree with a good book and a glass of wine. The Gardens: There are two and a half acres of safe gardens with views over farmland.  The communal patio area has a brick BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the children play.   We have had many an enjoyable evening with a BBQ and a few drinks.   The heated above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard. The pool is open from May - September.   The gardens are the ideal place to relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while drinking a glass a wine.   There is a 14ft trampoline with safety nets, badminton, swings, boules, swing ball, football net, and basketball in the gardens, along with numerous games. In the covered veranda there is table soccer, table tennis and a darts board. The gardens are large and safe enough for children to play.  Down the lane there is an 18 km Patrimoine walk through lovely countryside.  The area: Although we are in a quiet location, we are only 5 mins away from the village centre with its bar-tabac-restaurant-shop. And only 10 mins from Louvigne du Desert with its, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Also nearby are attractions like Mont Saint Michel Water and floral parks, walking and cycle tracks, trout fishing, horse riding, canoeing, kayaking, Château's, and numerous places of interest. We are the ideal place for that weekend break, a house-hunting trip, that romantic getaway or that family holiday, group bookings also available if you have all 4 cottages, sleeps 26 in total. There really is something for everyone in this beautiful area of Brittany
